After 20 months of suffering with LASIK Dry Eye, I sought another opinion from a highly revered doctor in Atlanta (recommended by a LASIK malpractice attorney). He took films of me blinking and reported that 20 out of 25 blinks were partial blinks. 20 months of suffering. 4 or 5 various eye doctors (I lost count) and none of them spotted my 'Lazy Wink.'
Apparently, I was not closing my eyes completely when I was blinking. The resulting side effect is diminished tear replenishment for your eyes. In layman's, you don't get as much moisture on your eyes if you fail to close your eyes completely.
Try this at home: Go into a mirror and watch yourself blink. This doctor recommended taking longer, purposeful blinks. So far this seems to have helped a little and it's FREE!!!! Free Dry Eye treatments are always welcome because most of them cost a fortune.
