What's it like living with LASIK induced Dry Eye Syndrome (DES)? It's a full time job. The symptoms are relentless. I've listed the various products and treatments I have to do on a daily basis to survive. I am not endorsing or being paid to list these products.
Daily Routine 1. Lubricate eyes with autologous serum drops throughout the day. 2. Take fish oil (Davinci) daily. Two capsules. 3. Use Xiidra twice daily. 4. Use a hot compress on the eyes for 10-15 minutes to open glands. 5. Massage eye lids to stimulate tear gland function (compress then Eyepeace). 6. Using Systane night-time ointment in each eye lid (morning and before bed). 7. Instill one drop of Pataday allergy drops twice daily (also use Zatador). 8. Use desktop desktop humidifier at work. 9. Use preservative free drops (OTC) daily as needed (includes Similasan, Systane Ultra and Bion Tears). 10. Use eyelid scrubs (Occusoft) morning and evening. I've also done Lipiflow twice, Amniotic membranes in both eyes and one Blephx treatment.
How about some gratitude!? This list use to have about 30 items on it. Getting better. =)
